The Breaking Point
My name is Sultan Alkhuzaei. Since 2015, I've worked as a technical specialist at STC in Saudi Arabia. For nearly a decade, I showed up, solved problems, and waited for the system to reward me.
A raise. A promotion. Any sign that loyalty mattered.
It never came.
So in 2017, I started looking for another way. Not because I dreamed of Lamborghinis. Because I was tired of building someone else's future while mine stood still.
The Fitness Blog Mistake (2017)
My first project was a fitness blog. I was passionate about health, so I thought passion was enough.
It wasn't.
The niche was too broad. My content was too scattered. I wrote about everything and ranked for nothing. No traffic. No sales. Just noise.
I shut it down.
Lesson learned: A blog without focus is a diary nobody reads.
The $20 Victory That Almost Broke Me (2019)
I came back in 2019. This time, I found marketers who actually knew what they were doing. They taught me launch jacking - reviewing new products on YouTube right when they drop.
I made my first $20 online.
Then I got greedy. I started stuffing multiple offers into every video. I tried to be everywhere at once. Instead of mastering one strategy, I was drowning in five.
I burned out and quit.
Lesson learned: One proven strategy beats five half-baked ones. Every time.
The $2,497 Bet That Turned Into a Mess (2022–2026)
In 2022, I went all-in on a marketing funnel builder called Groove CM. I paid $2,497 for lifetime access.
For a while, it felt right. The community was electric. I created over 60 tutorials on YouTube. I built 4 products around the platform. I even earned a high-ticket commission that I never saw in my bank account.
They blamed Stripe. They made videos. They promised.
Nothing came.
Then the bugs started multiplying. Features broke. Support went silent. Eventually, the company changed hands, rebranded to Scale.gg, and asked lifetime members who already paid thousands to pay again.
I was invited to their "Board of Advisors" to give community feedback. It felt like a token gesture while the ship was sinking.
Lesson learned: Shiny tools don't build businesses. Trust and transparency do.
What 9 Years of Failure Taught Me
Between 2022 and 2026, I talked to some of the top marketers in the world. Not the gurus flashing rented cars. The ones who've actually built sustainable income for decades. Here's what they all agreed on:
Consistency beats intensity
A blog post a week for a year crushes a content blitz that burns out in a month.
Focus is a weapon
The people who win pick one traffic source, one monetization model, and master it before adding a second.
Honesty is rare
Most "income reports" online are fiction. Real numbers — even the ugly ones — build real trust.
I'm not here to pretend I've figured it all out. My income is still inconsistent. I haven't hit $10,000 a month yet.
But I know exactly what doesn't work. And I'm documenting every step toward what finally does.
