Day 3: I Was Sick, I Forgot Google Search Console, and I'm Still Showing Up

May 22, 20264 min read

Hey everyone. This is Sultan.

This should be Day 5. It's been two days since my last post. I was sick. Family needed me. Life happened. And honestly? I didn't attend the trainings I planned to watch.

I'm not going to pretend I'm a machine. I'm a normal person with a life, a body that gets sick, and responsibilities that don't care about my content calendar.

But I'm back. And I want to tell you what I forgot to do... and what I'm building next.

The Fundamental I Forgot (Don't Make This Mistake)

I built this blog. I wrote posts. I optimized titles and meta descriptions. And I completely forgot to add it to Google Search Console.

If you don't know what that is, it's the free tool from Google that tells you if your site is indexed, what keywords you're ranking for, and whether Google can even find your pages. It's not optional. It's foundational.

I forgot it. Not because I'm lazy. Because I got caught up in design, content, and bonuses, and I skipped the boring technical step that actually matters.

Today I'm fixing that. If you just launched a blog and haven't done this yet, go do it now:

  1. Go to search.google.com/search-console

  2. Add your property (domain or URL prefix)

  3. Verify ownership (HTML tag, DNS, or Google Analytics)

  4. Submit your sitemap

  5. Check the Coverage report for indexing errors

Do this before you write another post. I almost didn't. Don't be me.

Why I Haven't Watched the Trainings Yet

John Thornhill has been running live trainings inside the program I'm part of. I know they're valuable. I really wanted to attend and ask questions because I never pretend I know everything about marketing. I ask questions. Lots of them.

But I was sick. And when you're sick, your brain doesn't absorb strategy. It absorbs soup and sleep.

I'll watch the replays when I'm sharp. Not because I'm undisciplined, but because learning while exhausted is a waste of time. I'd rather show up at 80% than pretend I'm at 100%.

The AI Bonus I'm Brainstorming

While I was resting, my brain didn't shut off completely. I started thinking about the bonus package I want to create.

The idea: an AI protocol called the ClickBank Money Protocol. Something that helps people shortcut the learning curve using AI tools. I'm still brainstorming the exact framework, but the concept is solid.

I like bonuses that do the heavy lifting. Not ebooks that collect dust. Not videos that never get watched. Actual protocols. Step-by-step systems that save people time.

More on this when I build it.

The Real Lesson: Consistency Doesn't Mean Perfection

If you're reading this and you missed your own posting schedule because life got loud, here's what I want you to know:

Consistency is not about daily perfection. It's about returning after you fall off.

I could have skipped this post entirely. Waited until I had something "bigger" to say. Until I watched the trainings. Until I built the bonus. Until I wasn't sick.

But then I'd be teaching you that entrepreneurship requires robotic discipline. It doesn't. It requires human resilience.

I'm a normal person. I get sick. I have family obligations. I forget basic technical steps. And I'm still here.

That's Day 3.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Google Search Console really necessary for a new blog?
A: Yes. Without it, you have no idea if Google is indexing your pages or if there are crawl errors blocking your content from ever showing up in search.

Q: How often should I post if life gets busy?
A: Quality and honesty beat a fake schedule. Post when you have something real to say, even if it's "I was sick and here's what I learned."

Q: What makes a good affiliate bonus in 2026?
A: Something that removes work, not adds information. Protocols, templates, and done-for-you systems outperform generic ebooks.

What's Next

Today I'm submitting my site to Google Search Console. Then I'm catching up on the trainings I missed. Then I'm sketching out the ClickBank Money Protocol framework.
